Dear Reader, I want to give you some interesting information concerning the Mormons:

 

 

The Founder:

 

Joseph Smith, who was born in 1805 in the US-State Vermont moved in the year 1815 with his family to the west side of the State New York, because of the war between Great Britain and America of 1812 . Superstitious and religious unrest were dominant in his family. In his youth he went out to find secret treasures in the earth wile he used a crystal as a fortune- telling stone ("peepstone") for supernatural finding of secret treasuries a method which was normal in Smith’s time. But still he was found guilty by a court for committing fraud. Later he told that God and Jesus appeared to order him that he should "reconstruct the original gospel". The reason was: All churches had left the true believe and their testifies was "abominable" in the eyes of God. – Through an "angel" called Moroni Smith was in the year 1827, able to get his hands on golden plates, which showed ancient script signs. Smith talked about them as corrected Old-Egyptian (reformed Egyptian). They were buried in a hill. With the help of his peepstone, which was now called Urim and Thummim by Smith, he was now able to translate these scriptures because he could now see the English text in his crystal. During the next years Smith translated the golden plates while they were covered in a cloth and Smith read the translation out of his peepstone. In the year 1830 the translation was published as "The Book of Mormon" – Because of different circumstances in June 1844 his critics sent him to jails of were Carthage/Ill., where he was shot on the 27^th of June by a exited mob.

 

Developing & History:

 

On the 6^th of April of the year 1830 J. Smith founded with some other friends in the federal state of New York the "Church of Jesus Christ" which got the addition "of latter-day Saints" in the year 1838. The community soon got many followers and spread further to the west: Ohio, Missouri and Illinois were the most important bases. Because of the many "new revelations" of his "prophet" by the time more and more strange teachings and practices had been established in the community of the "Saints" so that this community couldn´t be accepted by the surroundings which was churchly influenced. So it lead to permanent confrontations with the Non-Mormons as well as with the governmental offices. After the violent death of their religious founder the "Saints" moved in the year 1845/46 under the leadership of Brigham Youngs in a great trek to the west and reached in the summer of 1847 the Great Salt lake valley in the Rocky Mountains. Here their centre Salt Lake City was established which later got the capital of the US-Sate Utah. A flourish cultural landscape was made out of a salt-dessert. Trough out a pathetic mission the Mormonism spread all over the world (since 1952 also in Germany). Today over 8 million people declare themselves to this religion. The highest rising rates are to be found in Latin America and East Asia.

 

Teaching & Practice:

 

The Mormons declare themselves as the "only one true Christian church on earth". They claim that God was once a Man and that human can become (under certain circumstance) a God. They point out the necessity of "new revelations". To them the "book of Mormon" is as holy as the bible. The real things of the Mormonism practice are the secret temple rituals:

 

1. Representative "Baptism for the dead";

 

2.The "Endowment". The ones who are part of it learn secret teachings, hand grips and signs, to get in the kingdom of God;

 

3. Marriage (signeting) "for Time and eternity"; married people will stay together even in after world.

 

Among the countless movements of the 19^th century, which regard new revelations equal to the Christian bible and are therefore called "new-revelation-movements" the Mormonism is the most successful one. The numbers of communities, there are around 70, which can be counted to the Mormonism is not the only impressive thing but the numbers of their members which are some millions. But there is only one community, the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" which responsible for this number, because it is the greatest of the Mormon-churches and has alone over 10 million members world wide.

 

If you regard these facts it doesn´t amaze that the name "Mormons" stands as a correlation for the last named community, especially in the Switzerland where there is only this organised local community is to be found. It is true that the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" is the biggest Mormon community but if it is the origin one is to be questioned. Every community which sees the book of Mormon as a holy one or as any mean scripture has to be counted to the Mormonism. (Even if they entitle this book in other words.) In the German spoken countries this is reality for three communities: The already named "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints", the many aspects more origin "Reorganised Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" and the little but active "Church with the Elijah–message". Most of the 70 Mormon-communities are to be found in the USA and this doesn´t only deal with the fact that the USA is the homeland of the Mormons but also that they believe that the USA will be the place where Jesus will return and therefore it has a special sanctify meaning.

 

The book Mormon:

 

The plates report that America was inhabited long before its founding by Columbus respectively Leif Erikson by Israelites. And this in a first "settlement-wave" just after the failed tower-building of Babel and in a second wave after the destruction of Jerusalem in the Beginning of the sixth century before Christ. The population of the first "wave" the Jareds died shortly before the arrival of the second wave, so that they found a completely non-inhabitant country. Soon the second wave which escaped the fall of Jerusalem were divided in to parts. The god-fearing Nephites and the godless Lamanites. The first named had the possibility to join Jesus Christ, who after his Ascension in Palestine came to visit them, gave them a shorthand of the gospel, elected twelve apostles and went back to Heaven. But the advised Christians of the New World had a bad fortune: In the fifth century they were completely killed by the godless Lamanites in a great battle but not before the last of the Nephite, a man called Moroni, had written down the history of his people on golden plates and which became the property of Smith then. The Lamanites survived but were punished with a dark skin by God for their godless behaviour. They are the ancestors of the present living Indians. This was the context of the book Mormon which was published in the year 1830.

 

The speech examples in "Reformed Egypt" which Joseph Smith had copied from the plates and which are also parts of each edition of the Book of Mormon are strange to the one who knows the Old-Egypt language and doesn´t make any sense to him. Concerning these facts it doesn´t amaze that the charge of cheating has always companioned the Mormon movement since its founding.

 

In the last days the problems concerning the book of Mormon rose through the fact that the archaeology in America didn´t confirmed the message of the book of Mormon but in contrary denied them. Further more there are no signs of the using of metal on the American Continent before the time of Columbus, which are taken for granted in the book of Mormon. More over remains of different Eurasian animals which are mentioned in the book of Mormon are missing. There is also no sign of the cities which are also mentioned in the book (this in contrary to the Old Testament which tells us about each city which has been identified in the area).

 

What they believe:

 

1. God was not perfect in the Beginning.

 

Because the whole developing is standing under the law of progress, the whole life is always rising to higher perfection. This is also the law for God. He has only risen through the law of developing to his present perfection and power. That means that he is changeable.

 

2. God became "Father" in the biological way.

 

That means he produced in the biological with a "mother" a countless number of Ghosts and created a "the great plan" for them, which showed them the way and also gave them the possibility of rising to a heavenly power. Therefore he (Elohim) organised the earth out of stuff. His son "Jehovah", who is identical with Christ, was the building constructor. The earth should be the school for the ghosts who have to rise after they finished their former education.

But: They don´t know who is the Mother of God with which Jesus was produced. But this not every thing: They claim that Jesus has a heavenly Father and a heavenly mother. And they themselves have also heavenly parents. And these parents have heavenly parents too, etc.

 

Because of the fact that the Gods were in former times as humans and still have their body they also have digestive systems. If some one is able to talk he must have a tongue. And with this tongue he can talk about the sun, moon, stars and he talks during days and nights. So he must use fluid to keep the tongue wet. And if he, therefore has a digestive system he sometimes needs to empty it. So there must be a place in heaven where there is a huge stinky pile of heavenly shit. Or not?

 

3. A Human is a God but in a seed condition and there is no real difference between both.

 

A human is an incarnated Ghost who has finished the first phase of development and is now on earth and has a free will in order to differentiate good and bad and through this he will make further developments. "As the human is God was once and as God is human will be one day."

 

But: If God was once a man, when and how had he lived? Has he prayed to another God or prayed to himself? If there was another God, there must have been once one God. And when he was a man, how and where had he lived then? And how had he prayed to whom?

 

4. The Fall of Man was planed in the program of the Great Plan.

 

Adam was immortal in the beginning but Eva was mortal so there were unequal. Therefore Adam ate the forbidden fruit with his full consciousness to become mortal The Fall of Man created the basic and the condition of the Hail.

But: Adam was immortal he would have become a God one day. Then he, with his almighty power, could have changed the condition for Eva that there would be no problems to get the blessings of the Hail. I don´t understand how he chose the complicated way. I am only human but I was able to show him a way with which we all could have stayed in Paradise and still had knowledge of the difference between good and bad. And all had become Gods some day.

 

5. An original Sin or the basic Sinful of Man is being rejected. Humans can achieve salvation by himself if he behaves according to the Book of Mormon.

 

But: What about the people who lived before the time in which J. Smith translated and published his book? Are they all dammed? Is this God’s justice?

 

6. The Returning of Jesus is expected as soon. The Holy Land is now America (USA)

and so the returning is to be expected there.

 

But: It´s a historical fact, that if Jesus has lived, which I believe, he lived as a Jew with the wish to reform Judaism in the ancient Israel. Why should his returning be to America then and not to the Land of his Fathers?

 

7. Marriage- and family units can be remained and eternalised over death through

signets.

 

But: How do they know who gets to Heaven and who wouldn´t. Imagine the following scene: There are two persons one would be like Hitler and the other would be a saint. And both had fulfilled the marriage signet. Now one would enter Hell while the other would enter Heaven. How could the signet remain then?

(This example may be a bit extreme but pints out my intention.)

 

8. Through representative actions done for the dead ones of former generations they

 get the blessing of the Church so that they find salvation.

 

For example: Buddha, Ghandi etc.

 

But this nears rape that Names of historical personalities are being abused after their death for the ideas and teachings of the Mormons. The retroactive "salvationed" person can´t even comment this thing.

 

9. Coloured are damned.

 

Therefore they are not allowed to become priests.

 

But: as I will quote below out of the Book Mormon, the fact of being coloured is a curse because God is a white Man for the Mormons. If white is standing for good and pure then coloured/black must stand for bad/impure. If God is white which colour will the Devil have then?

 

The Book Mormon:

 

1.      They claim that they have the only legitimate representation of Jesus on earth.

 

"And it came to pass that I beheld this great and abominable Church; and I saw the devil that he was the founder of it." (1.Nephi 13,6)

 

2.      For them America is the Holy Land and a place of freedom and peace.

 

"Wherefore, this land is consecrated unto him he shall bring. And if it so be that they shall serve him according to the commandments which he hath given, it shall be the land of liberty unto them; wherefore they shall never be brought down into captivity; if so, it shall be because of iniquity; (...)." (2.Nephi 1,7)

 

But: What is with the slaves and the Indians?

 

3.      The Mormons are a raciest organisation who found their teaching with God.

 

"And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. (...) wherefore as they were white, and exceedingly fair And delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them. And thus saith the Lord God: I will cause that they shall be loathsome unto my people, save they shall repent of their iniquities. And cursed shall be the seed of him that mixeth with their seed; for they shall be cursed even with the same cursing. And the Lord spoke it, and it was done. And because of their cursing which was upon them they did become an ible people, full mischief and subtlety, and did seek in the wilderness for beasts of prey. (...)." (2.Nephi 5,21-24)

 

But: What can I say to this stupidity?

 

4.      They reach to America with a compass.

 

"And moreover, he also grave him charge concerning the records which were on the plates of brass; and also the plates of Nephi; and also the sword of Laban, and the ball or director, which lead our fathers through the wilderness, which was prepared by the hand of the Lord that thereby they might be led, (...)." (Mosia 1,16) This happened "about 124 B. C." (Book of Mormon page S.147) "And it came to pass that after they had bound me insomuch that I could not move, the compass which had been prepared of the Lord, did cease to work." (1 Nephi 18,12) This happened "about 590 B.C." (Book of Mormon page 42)

 

But: The compass was invented much later.

 

        5. Nephi writes about horses which had been in America in the year 90 B.C..

 

"And when Lamoni had heard this he caused that his servants should make ready his horses and his chariots." (Alma 20, 6)

"(...) as we journeyed in the wilderness, that there beasts in the forest of every kind, both the cow and ox, and the ass and the horse, and the goat, and all manner of wild animals, which were for the use of men. (...)" (1Nephi 18,25)

 

But: Horses were imported in America by the Spanish conquerors in the middle age

 

6. What is with Alpha and Omega?

 

"I am the light and the life of the world. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end." (3.Nephi 9,18)

 

But: It would be new to me that in the year 34 A.D. many people of the America were able to speak and understand the Greek language. How could you otherwise understand what is meant with Alpha and Omega. It would be the same if I would say in these days "Ho" and "Shmoh". Only if you could understand my language then you could understand what is meant with "Ho" and "Schmoh".
