Why Jesus is not god
(part 2):
Matthew 5,17 Think not that I am come to
destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Matthew 5,20 For I say unto you, That except
your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees,
ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 8,27 But the men marvelled, saying,
What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Matthew 9,6 But that ye may know that the Son
of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the
palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. 9:7 And he arose, and
departed to his house. 9:8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and
glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
Matthew 11,9 But what went ye out for to see? A
prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. (...) Matthew 11,11
Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a
greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom
of heaven is greater than he.
Luke 7,26 But what went ye out for to see? A
prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. (...) Luke 7:28 Verily I
say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater
than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of
heaven is greater than he
JOHN IS MORE THAN A PROPHET. JESUS WAS (NOT
LIKE ADAM) BORN BY A WOMAN. SO JOHN IS GREATER THAN JESUS. JESUS = GOD. JOHN
GREATER THAN GOD?
Matthew 13,57 And they were offended in him.
But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own
country, and in his own house. 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there
because of their unbelief.
JESUS SAYS IT AND PROVES IT THROUGH HIS ACTION
RESP. NOT-ACTION!
Matthew 16,23 But he turned, and said unto
Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou
savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
Matthew 26,39 And he went a little farther, and
fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this
cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
JESUS ACCEPTS THE SUFFERING TO-BE, BUT HE WOULD
LIKE TO DO WITHOUT! THEREFORE HE IS NOT
IDENTICAL WITH GOD
Matthew 20,23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall
drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized
with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it
shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
Matthew 21,10 And when he was come into
Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? 21:11 And the multitude
said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
Matthew 21,46 But when they sought to lay hands
on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
Matthew 24,36 But of that day and hour knoweth
no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Matthew 27,54 Now when the centurion, and they
that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that
were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
WAS, IS HE NO MORE?
Mark 10,39 And they said unto him, We can. And
Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and
with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:
10:40 But to sit on my right hand and on my
left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is
prepared.
Luke 2,21 And when eight days were accomplished
for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so
named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
Luke 5,16 And he withdrew himself into the
wilderness, and prayed.
TO WHOM DID HE PRAY, IF HE SELF IS GOD?
Luke 6,12 And it came to pass in those days,
that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to
God.
Luke 11,20 But if I with the finger of God cast
out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
John 1,18 No man hath seen God at any time, the
only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
1Joh 4,12 No man hath seen God at any time. If
we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
John 8,28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye
have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do
nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. 8:29
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do
always those things that please him.
John 8,42 Jesus said unto them, If God were
your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither
came I of myself, but he sent me.
Joh 11,40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto
thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And
Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard
me. 11:42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people
which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. 11:43
And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
John 13,16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The
servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he
that sent him.
Acts 3:13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and
of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye
delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined
to let him go.
Acts 14,11 And when the people saw what Paul
had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The
gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. 14:12 And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and
Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker. 14:13 Then the priest of
Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates,
and would have done sacrifice with the people.
Acts 28,6
Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead
suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him,
they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
SO NAIVE RESP. DUPABLE WERE THE PEOPLE IN THAT
TIME!
Romans 1,8 For the wrath of God is revealed
from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the
truth in unrighteousness;
1Corinthians 3,23 And ye are Christ's; and
Christ is God's.
WHOSE? GOD’S! ALTHOUGH JESUS IS ENTITLED AS GOD
HE CAN NOT BE GOD; BECAUSE A GOD CAN NOT BE THE PROPERTY OF ANOTHER GOD IF THEY
ARE ONE GOD!
1Corinthians 8,6 But to us there is but one
God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus
Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
COMPARE E.G. THE MIDDLE AGES: THE COMMON PEOPLE
HAD A SOVEREIGN (BISHOP; EARL, PRINCE) AND THEIR GOD AT THE SAME TIME. TO BOTH
DEMANDED THEIR TRIBUTE. IF THE PEOPLE CALLED THEIR WORLDLY SOVEREIGN “LORD”, IT
DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEREFORE GOD WAS NEGLECTED OR LIMITED BY THIS!
1Corintians 15,28 And when all things shall be
subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put
all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Gal 3,13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse
of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one
that hangeth on a tree: (5. Mose 21,23): (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;)
GOD ACCURSED? BY WHOM? AND WHO CAN RELEASE HIM
OF THIS ACCURANCE RESP. PUNISH A GOD?
Galatians 4,4
But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made
of a woman, made under the law, 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law,
that we might receive the adoption of sons.
EVEN PAUL PARTS JESUS OF GOD AND SEES HIM MORE
AS AN APPOINTEE!
Phil 2,6
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
God: 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Jesus has NOT SINNED.
BUT THE NATURE OF HUMAN CONTAINS SIN. SO JESUS WAS NOT LIKE AN ORDINARY MAN. AND
AS HE WAS EQUAL TO A MAN WITHOUT BEING
ONE, BECAUSE HE WAS A MESSENGER OF GOD TO THE HUMANS. EQUAL TO THIS HE WAS SEEN
AS GOD ALTHOUGH HE WAS NOT GOD. (AS MOSES WAS
GOD TO PHARO!) GODLY IN THIS SENSE MEANS, HE inwarded GOD’S COMMANDMENTS
WHILE THE LEARNED MEN AND THE PHARISIANS PAID ATTENTION TO THE WORD OF GOD BUT
FORGOT THE SPIRIT OF IT!
1Tim 2,5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus;
Hebrew 1,5 5 For unto which of the angels said
he at any time, (Palms 2:7): Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?
And again, (2. Samuel 7:14) I will be to
him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
IF jesus WAS BEGOTTEN
BY GOD, HE IS NOT ETERNAL. SO HE CAN NOT BE GOD, BECAUSE JESUS HAD A BEGINNING
AND AN END. BUT IF GOD WAS DEAD FOR THREE DAYS AND NIGHTS, WHO KEPT THE
UNIVERSE RUNNING AND UNDER CONTROL?
Hebrew 7,1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem,
priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of
the kings, and blessed him; 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all;
first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King
of Salem, which is, King of peace; 7:3 Without father, without mother, without
descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest
continually.
