WHAT WAS TUE SIGN OF
JONA, OR WAS JESUS REALLY THREE DAYS DEAD?
"And when eight days were accomplished for
the circumcising of the child, his name was
called Jesus, which was so named of
the angel before he was conceived in the womb. (Lk 2:2 1 ) This is reported to
us in the gospel according to Luke.
The name , which was told to Mary for the child
was JESUS not CHRIST. This was declared after the baptism by the hand of john
the Baptist. but the Jews were not the one, who would accept these things. They
wanted a proof
Miracle as a proof
Matthew writes, that the educated men among the
Jews went to Jesus and asked him: "Master we want to see a sign." (Mt
12:38) What they wanted, was a magical trick, for example a rabbit out of a hat
or walking over water or hot coals. The questioning wanted to see that kind of
miracle, because they thought he was a magic, wizard.
No signs, except one
With anger Jesus answered them: "An evil
and adulterous generation seekth after a sign; and there should be no sign be
given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jona: For as Jona was three days in
the whale's belly; so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in
the heart of the earth. (Mt 12:39‑40)
Jesus said "No sign!" He did not tell
them about Bartimaeus who was healed from blindness. he also does not speak
about "the woman with the discharge", who was healed by simply touching him. Or
the two thousand pigs, he had killed in order to heal a possessed man from his
evils. Or the 5.000 or 3.000 people he had fed with fish and bread. "No sign!",
said Jesus, Only one" ‑ "The
sign of Jona". His claiming to be the Messiah is connected only to this
sign which he wanted to give. does he fulfil this sign? The Christianity
answers with "yes", without paying attention to the biblical advise,
which says: "Prove all things" (1 Thes 5:21)
Jona flees from his
mission
Now what was the sign of Jona? We have to read
in the book of Jona in the Old Testament, to find that out.
God called Jona to go to Nineve in order to
bring the people away from their bad deeds. (Jona 3:8) But Jona was fearing. He
wanted to Tarish to flee from the command of God. He took a ship in order to
get to Tarish. While he was on the sea, there was a great storm. The sallors
were fearing and called Jona because they wanted to know who was the one who
brought them into this situation. (Jona 13) Jona told them that he was fleeing
from god and made the suggestion to throw him into the ocean. So that the ocean
could calm down again. This was then done. (Jona 1: 15)
Dead or alive
Jona had offered himself as a religious
sacrifice. there was no reason to strangle him or to kill him with the sword,
or to cut off an arm, leg or an other body part. There was no need to kill him.
Jona did not say anything about killing, he only said: "Take me up, and
cast me into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you. (Jona 1:12) the
question which arises now, is the following: When the sailors threw Jona into
the ocean, was he dead or alive? Every Christian child, who paid attention in
its religious education, will answer "ALIVE". The storm calmed down
too. a whale engulfed Jona, when he was in the ocean. Was he dead or alive,
when he was engulfed. The answer is once again: "ALIVE". Because Jona
prayed to God in the belly of the whale. (Jona 2:2)
And it is a fact, that people do not pray, when
they are dead. The whale carried him for three days and nights through the
ocean, to spite him out on God's order. The question is once again, when Jona
was in the belly of the whale, was he dead or alive? The answer is:
"ALIVE". Because when Jona was back on earth, god ordered him for a
second time to go to Ninive. (Jona 3:1‑2)
What was the prophecy of Jesus? As Jona... will
be the son of man. And how was Jona? Was he dead or alive while he prayed for
three days and nights in the belly of the whale?
Not like Jona
lf Jona was alive for three days and three
nights, then according to Jesus' prophecy he must have been alive in his grave
too. But the Christianity is fixed on the flimsy arrangement of the death for
the salvation. That is why they have to answer that Jesus was dead for three
days and three nights.
(If Jesus is "God" as it is claimed
in the Christianity and "God" had died for three days and nights as
it is also claimed in the Christianity, the 1 ask myself‑ Who kept his
creation running while "God" was dead? How can Jesus die, lf he is
"God" and God lives eternal and cannot die.)
But back to the main part:
The contradiction between the prophecy of Jesus
and its fulfilment is clearly shown. Jona was alive, Jesus dead. But Jesus
said, "As Jona" not "Not as Jona". lf this is true, then
Jesus is according to his own claim not the Messiah of the Jews. lf the gospels
are authentically, then the Jews cannot be blamed for their not acceptance of
Jesus as "Christ".
Three and three = 72
Hours
The Doctors and Professors of Theology always
argue in their discussion, that according Matthew 12:40 "the time" is
the main thing. For as Jona was three days and three nights in the whale's
belly; so shall the son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of
the earth." (Mt 12:40)
Please recognise, says the theologian, that
Jona was in the belly for three days and three nights and Jesus was in the
earth for three days and three nights. That is how he fulfilled this prophecy.
He would stay in the grave and it is not necessary, if he was "as
Jona", (dead or alive).
lf it was really the time factor, which was so
important for Jesus, then ask lf he fulfilled this aspect of his prophecy to
the Jews? The Christian says: "Certainly".
Public holiday
The question which arises is the following:
When was Christ crucified? The whole Christianity answers: FRIDAY This is the
reason why "Good Friday" is being celebrated. "God Vrydag"
is a public Holiday in the Republic of South Africa and each Christian nation
from America to Zambia from Abyssinia to Zaire has a public Holliday on
"the Friday at Easter". What is special about "Good
Friday"?
It is the dead of Christ on the cross, to wash
away our sins." say the Christians. So he was killed on the cross nearly
2.000 years ago? "Yes!" say the Christians.
The gospels tell us, that the Jews were in
hurry to get rid of Jesus. First the trial in the night, then the trial in
front of Pilate, then to Herod and then back to Pilate. The elitary Jews were
fearing the masses. Jesus was their Hero. He had done beneficial things to
them. So the enemy must be killed quickly. But as quickly he was put on the
cross, he had to be taken down before the sun goes down on Friday, because the
Sabbath was to come. The Sabbath begins at 6 o'clock in the evening and the
Jews were warned in Deuteronominum 21:23, that the crucified persons are dammed
by God, and it was not to allowed to let them hang on Sabbath so that the land
should not become unclean.
To satisfy the scruples of the
elltary Jews, the "seeret disciples" had taken the corps of Jesus
from the cross. They performed
the ritual funeral bath, embalmed him with a "weight of hundred pounds of myrrh and aloes" (Joh
19:39) Before the beginning of the night they
laid the corpse which was covered
by the shroud in the grave.
Why
"Supposed"
There are many differences between the
countless sects and confessions of the Christianity. but they are united in the
point, that Jesus was (SUPPOSED TO BE) in the grave in the night of Friday. He
was also (SUPPOSED TO BE) in the grave on the Saturday. And he was (SUPPOSED TO
BE) in the grave in the night of Saturday. This is what is believed by the
Christians. The reason, why 1 used the word "SUPPOSED" three times,
is because the gospels don't tell us anything about the exact time at which
Jesus was put in the grave. He could be taken out in the night of Friday, to
bring him to a more pleasant place. But 1 have not the right to give statements
about the things which are not mentioned in the gospels. That is why 1 have
used the word "SUPPOSED" for three times.
Let us examine in the final analyse, if Jesus
was really THREE days and THREE nights in the grave or not.

You see that Jesus was as you see in the
summarise only ONE DAY and TWO NIGHTS in the grave and not THREE days and THREE
nights. according to the Christian scriptures, he failed for the second time.
FIRST he was not like Jona, who was alive, when
he was in the belly of the whale, which was the opposite of the thing Jesus wanted
to do. According to Christians Jesus was dead when he was in the grave.
SECONDLY we recognise, that he was wrong
concerning the time factor. The greatest mathematics will be unable to get the
desired result of THREE days and THREE nights. We do not have to forget, that
the gospels pay very much attention on the fact, that it was "before the
sunrise " of Sunday (the FIRST day of the Jewish week), when Mary
Magdalena went to the grave of Jesus and found it empty.
Good Wednesday
Robert Fahey of the "Plain Truth"
magazine, held a lecture at the "Holiday In" in Durban, which was
attended by Mr Deedat. Mr Fahey tried to proof his Christian audience, that
Jesus, in opposite of the Christian belief over the last 2.000 years, had not
died on a Friday, but on a WEDNESDAY. lf you count backwards three days and
three nights from Sunday morning, then you will reach Wednesday. Ahmed Deedat
asked him, how was it possible that the whole
Christian world is celebrating for the past
2.000 years on Friday instead of Wednesday, (The whole Christian world is still
ignoring the correct day of the crucifixion.) This also means, that the even
the roman catholic church, which claims, to have an unbroken chain of Popes
from Peter until the present one, is also wrong.
The question is now, who convinced the whole
Christianity over the last 2.000 years? God or Satan? Mr Fahey categorically
answers‑. "Satan". lf it was able to confuse the Christianity
so that they do not know when to celebrate, on Friday or on Wednesday. How easy
it is the for him to confuse them in things which concern God? On this question,
Mr Fahey went away.
